BRONX, N.Y. — A 57-year-old man was injured Wednesday night after being struck with an unknown object during a dispute aboard a northbound 4 train, police said.
The incident occurred around 9:36 p.m. as the train approached the Kingsbridge Road station. According to reports, an unidentified man engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim before striking him, causing a laceration to the victim’s left arm.
The assailant fled the station on foot in an unknown direction.
Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a green basketball jersey, black shorts, and a black hat.
The NYPD has not made any arrests and continues to investigate the assault.
The attack adds to a series of recent incidents reported on New York City subways.
