Trio steals $50K in jewelry from Queens home, police say

QUEENS, N.Y. — Police are searching for three individuals who allegedly stole approximately $50,000 worth of jewelry from a Queens residence after entering through an unlocked basement door.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, near 268th Street and 79th Avenue. According to police, the three suspects gained entry through the unsecured basement and removed a large quantity of jewelry from the home.

The individuals then fled the scene in a gray Nissan Pathfinder, traveling to an unknown destination. No injuries were reported in connection with the burglary.

Descriptions of the suspects were released by the NYPD. The first is described as a male with a light complexion, last seen wearing a blue hat, white T-shirt, tan shorts, and black sneakers. The second is a male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a blue hat, black T-shirt, black shorts, and white and black sneakers. The third male, also with a medium complexion, was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicle to contact police.
