PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A violent early morning in Philadelphia left eight people injured in a shooting following a balcony altercation.
At approximately 3:54 a.m., officers from the 3rd District responded to reports of a shooting involving multiple victims after a physical altercation on an exterior balcony. The NYPD’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the ongoing investigation.
Victims were taken to multiple hospitals across the city. At Presbyterian Hospital, a 25-year-old woman was treated for gunshot wounds to her right arm and left hip, and a 30-year-old man sustained injuries to his right buttock and left arm.
At Jefferson Hospital, a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the left knee arrived via private vehicle, along with a 27-year-old woman shot in the left buttock, a 43-year-old security guard with a groin injury, and a 42-year-old man with wounds to the chest and right arm. Another 43-year-old male security guard was treated at Methodist Hospital for a gunshot wound to the left arm, while a 25-year-old woman with a leg injury was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
All victims are currently listed in stable condition.
