BELMAR, N.J. — Belmar will host a laser light show and fireworks display on Saturday night at Silver Lake in celebration of Independence Day.
The free event begins at 8:45 p.m. at 512 Ocean Avenue North and features a synchronized lighting and music show produced by Raising4 Inc. and the Borough of Belmar. A fireworks show will follow the display.
“The Independence Day Light Show is a world class computerized lighting and music show followed by an impressive fireworks display,” organizers announced.
The event is held in support of Rebuilding Warriors, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to veterans. Although admission is free, donations are encouraged to benefit the cause.
The celebration will honor both the nation’s independence and the veterans who have served to protect it.
Crowds are expected to gather around Silver Lake for the light and fireworks show, one of the community’s major summer events.
Belmar’s patriotic celebration will feature a light show and fireworks along the lakefront tonight.
