Jewelry Smash and Grab Burglary at New Jersey Department Store

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. — Police are investigating a burglary that occurred early Thursday morning at the Macy’s department store on Black Horse Pike.

According to the Township of Hamilton Police Department, an unknown suspect broke into the store at 4401 Black Horse Pike around 2:31 a.m. by shattering multiple exterior glass doors.

The individual, described only as wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a motorcycle-style helmet, forced open a jewelry display case inside the store and took an undisclosed amount of merchandise before fleeing the scene.

Authorities said the total value of the stolen jewelry is still being determined but is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Police did not release any surveillance images or further suspect description as of Sunday.

No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
