Two hospitalized after separate stabbings in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Two people were hospitalized following separate stabbings in Philadelphia’s 24th District, police said.

The first incident occurred around 6:51 a.m. when medics found an adult male with a stab wound to the left side of his chest at the intersection of F Street and Clearfield Street. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Roughly two and a half hours later, at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers responded to another stabbing on the 1900 block of East Tioga Street. There, an adult female had suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was also transported to Temple University Hospital by police. She is currently in stable condition.

No arrests have been made in either case.

“The investigation is active and being handled by East Detectives,” police said.

Authorities have not released any information about potential suspects or whether the incidents are connected.
