JACKSON HEIGHTS, NY — A TAKE 5 top-prize ticket worth $30,862 was sold in Queens during Sunday night’s drawing, the New York Lottery announced Monday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shahbaz Deli, located at 7403 37th Ave. in Jackson Heights. The prize resulted from the July 7 TAKE 5 evening drawing.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The Lottery did not disclose the identity of the ticket holder. It also did not specify whether the prize has been claimed.

According to the New York Lottery, ticket sales continue to support education funding, with $3.8 billion contributed to public schools during the most recent fiscal year.

All TAKE 5 prizes must be claimed through official lottery channels and are subject to standard verification procedures.
