WASHINGTON, D.C. — A residential burglary in Northwest D.C. has prompted a search for a suspect who was caught on surveillance footage fleeing a home with stolen property, police said Monday.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the break-in occurred on Friday, April 18, at approximately 6:30 p.m. The suspect entered a residence in the 1000 block of 15th Street, Northwest, and left with undisclosed stolen items.
Surveillance video captured the suspect at the scene. Investigators released the footage publicly and are seeking assistance from the community to identify the person shown.
Police have offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
