Group wanted in series of COTA bus assaults after latest attack on Parsons Avenue

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Police are searching for five unidentified suspects accused of assaulting a passenger on a COTA bus near Parsons Avenue and Whittier Street on June 24.

According to police, the suspects harassed a rider before physically attacking him, punching him in the body and face. The group then exited the bus and fled on foot, leaving the victim bloodied and dazed.

Investigators said the same suspects are believed to be connected to several other recent assaults and disturbances on COTA buses across the city.

The Columbus Division of Police shared images of the individuals on social media Tuesday and asked the public for help identifying them.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
