White van swiped from Wilkes-Barre lot over holiday weekend

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A 49-year-old man reported his vehicle stolen Tuesday evening after discovering it was missing from a Stanton Street parking lot, according to a report filed at City Headquarters.

The victim told officers the theft occurred sometime between July 5 and July 6. The stolen vehicle is described as a white 2017 Ford Econoline van with Pennsylvania registration ZXH-7741.

He discovered the van missing after it had been parked in the lot over the weekend and no signs of forced entry or damage were immediately noted.

Authorities have not identified any suspects at this time and the investigation remains active.
