WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 47-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a road rage shooting that took place in May at an intersection in Northeast Washington.
The incident occurred around 8:55 a.m. on May 14 at the intersection of Eastern and Division Avenues NE. According to investigators, the suspect tried to move from a turning lane to continue straight, but the victim did not allow him to merge. The suspect then followed the victim to 58th and Foote Streets NE and opened fire, striking the victim’s vehicle.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, but the vehicle sustained damage from the gunfire.
The suspect, identified as Marcus Reavenell of Southeast D.C., was arrested in Maryland on Wednesday pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court warrant. He waived extradition and was transported to the Sixth District.
Reavenell has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) as the case proceeds.
