BIDDEFORD, Maine — A player identified as Abby L. claimed a $50,000 top prize from the Connecticut Lottery’s $50,000 Cashword game, after purchasing her winning ticket at Quik-Pik in Meriden.

The win was announced on July 10, following verification of the ticket. Cashword is a popular scratch-off game offering multiple chances to win top-tier prizes.

The Connecticut Lottery has not released additional details about Abby’s plans for the winnings.

Lottery prizes in Connecticut must be claimed within 180 days of the game’s end date.
