Queens 911 call leads police to murder scene

QUEENS — A 41-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday morning near the intersection of 147th Street and 110th Avenue, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation by the NYPD.

Police responded to a 911 call around 8:12 a.m. in the area within the 103rd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released the identity of the victim pending family notification.

The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine a motive and identify the suspect.
