Two teens shot after large party erupts in gunfire in Columbus

Columbus police are investigating a shooting that occurred late on May 31 after a large party involving hundreds of teenagers escalated into violence at a rented venue on the 1600 block of Lockbourne Road.

Officers responded around 11:24 p.m. to reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found that multiple gunshots had been fired in the parking areas surrounding the venue.

Two individuals later arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds sustained during the incident, police said. Their conditions have not been disclosed.

The Columbus Division of Police has released photos of persons of interest and is asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
