Man shot multiple times, found dead in Harlem

NEW YORK — A 42-year-old man was fatally shot Monday afternoon in Harlem, police said, marking the latest incident of gun violence in the area.

Officers from the 28th Precinct responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:54 p.m. reporting a shooting in front of 235 Lenox Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and back.

The man was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem by private means, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.
