BUCKEYE LAKE, OHIO — Richard Lindgren, 59, wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Benjamin Hawk outside Louie’s Corner House in Buckeye Lake, has been arrested out of state, the Licking County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
A nationwide warrant was issued for Lindgren following the July 11 shooting, which occurred shortly before midnight at the bar located at 11174 Hebron Road. Responding deputies found Hawk, 42, dead at the scene with a gunshot wound.
“Richard Lindgren has been arrested out of state on the murder warrant. We will begin the extradition process to bring him back to Licking County,” the sheriff’s office said in an update.
Authorities had previously warned the public that Lindgren was considered armed and dangerous and was last seen driving a cream-colored 2011 Buick Lucerne with Ohio plates HRT6785.
No further details on the arrest location or timing have been released.
