Queens casino coughs up twin wins in midday lotto bonanza

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Three lucky New York Lottery players won top prizes in the July 14 midday TAKE 5 drawing, with winning tickets sold in Nassau and Queens counties, officials confirmed Monday.

Each ticket matched all five numbers drawn and is worth $5,723. One ticket was sold at Dil’s Gasoline, located at 1019 Tulip Avenue in Franklin Square. The other two winning tickets were purchased at Resorts World Casino NYC, 110-00 Rockaway Boulevard in Jamaica.

The TAKE 5 game draws numbers twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., selecting five numbers from a field of one through 39. Top prizes are divided equally among all tickets that match all five numbers in a given draw.

Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. All three tickets remained unclaimed as of Monday afternoon.

The New York Lottery continues to lead North America in lottery-generated revenue, contributing $3.8 billion during the 2023–2024 fiscal year to support public education throughout New York State.

Players are reminded to check their tickets carefully and sign the back immediately to secure ownership.
