Elderly woman missing after leaving Brooklyn home Tuesday morning

BROOKLYN — Police are searching for an 82-year-old woman who was reported missing Tuesday morning after leaving her Brooklyn residence in the Bensonhurst section.

Yanmei Peng, who lives at 1766 64th Street, was last seen around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the NYPD. She resides within the confines of the 62nd Precinct.

Peng is described as Asian, with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet tall and weighing 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red polka dot shirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating her.
