TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Mayor Dan Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department will host Jimmy Buffett tribute band Parrot Beach as part of the township’s ongoing Summer Concert Series on Sunday, July 27, at 7 p.m. at Shelter Cove Beach.
The free event will feature a post-concert fireworks display, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure space on the beach. Auxiliary parking and a shuttle service will be available from Toms River High School East.
“Parrot Beach will bring the Margarita-vibe to Toms River for a 7pm show – well, it will be 5 o’clock somewhere,” the township said in a post on Facebook.
Food trucks including Kona Ice of Jersey Shore, FitChicks, and Marty’s Dogs will be on-site during the show. Pets are not permitted at the venue.
Boaters will be allowed to anchor in the cove to listen to the band from the water.
The township directed residents to its Recreation & Parks Department website for further event details.
A Jimmy Buffett-themed concert and fireworks display will draw beachgoers and boaters to Shelter Cove on Sunday, July 27.
