Newark police seek man for questioning in early morning shooting on Stuyvesant Avenue

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a Newark man wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

Roberto Horace, 45, is being sought by the Newark Police Division following a report of shots fired around 1:25 a.m. on July 12 in the 60 block of Stuyvesant Avenue, between Abinger Place and South Orange Avenue, according to Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr.

Responding officers secured the scene and recovered a bullet and a shell casing near an apartment building. No injuries were reported.
