STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A 32-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Kings Highway near River Bend Drive, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

Deputies responded to the scene shortly after 3 a.m., where they found a Honda Civic overturned in a ditch off the roadway. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation by the Traffic Safety Unit indicates the vehicle was heading westbound when it overcorrected and veered off the road. Speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.

The incident remains under investigation by Deputy S.C. Martin. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
