EDISON, N.J. — From feline fanfare to grilled cheese pairings, New Jersey is packed with family-friendly events this Sunday, July 20, offering food, art, music, and more across the state.
The Garden State Cat Expo + Show wraps up its two-day run at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison. Billed as the region’s biggest cat show, the event gives attendees the chance to meet various cat breeds, shop for unique cat-themed gifts, and meet adoptable rescue animals. Admission ranges from $10 to $50. The event is located at 125 Raritan Center Parkway.
Also continuing Sunday is the Laurita Winery Luau Food Truck Festival in New Egypt. Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the festival combines local food trucks, live music, and award-winning wines on the grounds of the winery. Admission is $13 in advance and $15 at the gate, with free entry for anyone 20 and under. According to organizers, “Each visitor will be given a unique souvenir Laurita wine glass.”
Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes continues its Grilled Cheese Weekend, featuring gourmet grilled cheese from Olsson’s Fine Foods and the release of a surprise sparkling wine. The event runs from 12 to 5 p.m. with no cover charge. Live music will be performed both days.
Down the shore, the Harvey Cedars Arts Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sunset Park. The event features local and regional artists and crafters displaying handmade works including paintings, sculpture, and jewelry. Attendees can expect live music and food vendors. Entry is free.
And in northwest New Jersey, the Hackettstown Street Fair kicks off at 11 a.m. on Main Street. The rain-or-shine event (rain date July 27) includes artisans, vendors, live entertainment, a kids’ area, and local food options. Entry is free.
