Police seek suspect in attempted rape of woman in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — A 20-year-old woman was the target of an attempted rape early Thursday morning in the Bronx, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. near East 150th Street and Wales Avenue, when an unidentified male approached the victim and attempted to assault her.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Wales Avenue. No injuries were reported, and the victim did not require medical attention, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a black hat, red T-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
