Police seek suspect in West Philadelphia porch assault caught on video

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a violent assault that occurred on the afternoon of June 15 in West Philadelphia.

The incident took place along the 4800 block of Trinity Place, where the victim told police he was retrieving a package for his neighbor when a verbal altercation escalated with a man sitting on the property’s porch. The situation turned physical, resulting in injuries to the victim.

The Philadelphia Police Department has released surveillance footage of the suspect, which can be viewed on its YouTube Channel or through its official website.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the individual not to approach him but to contact 911 immediately.

The investigation is being handled by the Southwest Detective Division under case number DC 25-18-031406.
