BRONX, NY — A Powerball player in the Bronx picked up a $50,000 third-tier prize in Friday night’s drawing after purchasing the lucky ticket at a local gift shop.

The winning ticket for the July 19 drawing was sold at jks cards & gifts, located at 3476 Boston Road. The ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball, earning the prize.

Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of 1 to 69, with the red Powerball drawn from a separate field of 1 to 26. Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The New York Lottery, which contributed $3.6 billion to state public education in the last fiscal year, confirmed the win.
