MANHATTAN — A Bronx man was arrested and charged with manslaughter following a fatal stabbing that occurred inside a Manhattan subway station over the weekend, police said.
Brandon Gonzales, 24, of Murdock Avenue in the Bronx, was taken into custody on Sunday at 2:25 p.m. within the 13th Precinct, authorities confirmed.
The charge stems from an incident on Saturday at approximately 7:04 p.m. inside the West 14th Street and 7th Avenue subway station. Responding officers found Gonzales with a stab wound to the lower torso, a 20-year-old male who was not injured, and an unidentified male with a stab wound to the chest.
All three individuals were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. The unidentified male, later identified as 17-year-old Shalon McFarlane of the Bronx, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Gonzales was listed in stable condition.
No further arrests have been announced, and the investigation is ongoing.
