Man found shot in broad daylight in Philadelphia, recovering in stable condition

PHILADELPHIA — A 28-year-old man was shot in the road Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, police said.

The shooting took place around 2:06 p.m. in the area of 700 S. Ithan Avenue. The victim sustained two gunshot wounds to his left shoulder and was transported by responding officers to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police confirmed that the scene has been held, but no arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered.

The incident is being investigated by the Shooting Investigation Group.
