QUEENS, N.Y. — A 68-year-old woman was injured in a robbery outside her home in Queens on Tuesday evening after a group of individuals attempted to steal her belongings, according to police.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in front of 249-31 Thebes Avenue, where the woman was approached by three unidentified suspects inside a dark-colored Infiniti sedan.
One of the suspects exited the vehicle and attempted to take the woman’s pocketbook. During the struggle, the individual forcibly took her cellphone, causing injuries to her face, authorities said.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene and transported the victim to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
The suspects fled the location traveling northbound on Marathon Parkway in the same vehicle.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
