JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police are asking for assistance in identifying a man who fled from a traffic stop on Bennetts Mills Road while driving with a young child in his car.

According to investigators, on Saturday, July 19, around 8 p.m., Officer Kalbach stopped a black 2016 BMW 750 with New Jersey registration V35VNM after receiving reports of erratic driving. When the officer approached, the driver, who was not the vehicle’s registered owner, identified himself only as “Emmanuel” before fleeing at a high rate of speed with a juvenile passenger, believed to be his son, in the backseat.

Officers pursued the BMW, which turned onto Butterfly Road, but lost sight of the vehicle. Police later determined through investigative leads that the man may be known as “Manny” or “Uncle Manny” and may reside in Brick or Jackson.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a bald head, a groomed beard, and wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Kalbach at mkalbach@jacksontwpnj.net or call the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
