WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man has been found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the 2019 killing of 23-year-old Leon Wilson Jr. in Fitchburg, the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.
Mugisha Jeanbosco, 27, was convicted by a Superior Court jury for the fatal incident that occurred on July 11, 2019, in the area of Pie Alley. The murder conviction carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole. Sentencing is set for August 1.
Two additional suspects, Jason Robinson, 39, of Fitchburg, and Jonathan Baez, 25, of Worcester, face charges of armed robbery and accessory after the fact of murder. Both are scheduled to appear in court on August 25.
District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. praised the efforts of Assistant District Attorneys Brett Dillon and Shayna Woodard, as well as the Fitchburg Police Department and Massachusetts State Police.
Mugisha Jeanbosco was found guilty of murdering Leon Wilson Jr. in a 2019 Fitchburg robbery and now faces life in prison without parole.
