NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a business on Sanford Avenue earlier this month.
The incident occurred around 9:42 p.m. on July 10, when two armed men entered a business in the 800 block of Sanford Avenue and demanded money from employees. Police said the suspects stole $1,530 from workers and $1,607 from the business, totaling $3,137.
One suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, wearing a black hooded “Champion” sweatshirt, ski mask, black sweatpants, and gloves. The second suspect, who was captured in surveillance images, is described as a large male with a light complexion and slight beard, wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
