Meriden winner takes home $100K from Powerball drawing

SHELTON, CT — A Meriden resident has claimed a $100,000 prize in the Powerball drawing held on July 23, Connecticut Lottery officials announced.

The winner, identified as Joseph F., purchased his lucky ticket at Wheels #174, located in Shelton.

Powerball, one of the nation’s most popular lottery games, gives players the chance to win prizes ranging from a few dollars to multimillion-dollar jackpots. Matching certain numbers can also result in substantial secondary prizes, such as the $100,000 Joseph secured in this draw.
