SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Police responded to reports of gunfire near Crane Street and Fourth Avenue on Friday morning and later detained a man following a brief foot chase, authorities said.
Officers arrived at the scene around 10:29 a.m. on July 25 and located a shell casing. They were directed to a residence on the 800 block of Crane Street where the suspect was believed to be located. At approximately 12:44 p.m., a male exited the residence and fled on foot but was quickly apprehended nearby.
He was taken to Schenectady Police Department headquarters for questioning. As of now, no arrests have been made and no injuries have been reported.
