Woman groped in broad daylight near Fulton Street; suspect fled on foot

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a busy downtown Brooklyn area on Saturday afternoon by an unidentified individual who fled the scene on foot, police said.

The incident occurred around 1:25 p.m. on July 12 near the intersection of Fulton Street and Elm Place, when the suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing westbound on Fulton Street.

There were no injuries reported.

The NYPD is investigating the incident and has not released a description of the suspect. No arrests have been made.
