Man robbed of chain in broad daylight at Bronx bus stop

NEW YORK — A 59-year-old man was robbed Monday morning while sitting at a Bronx bus stop when an unidentified individual snatched a chain from his neck and fled, police said.

The incident occurred at around 9:40 a.m. in front of 3101 Westchester Avenue, where the suspect sat beside the victim on a bench before grabbing the chain and fleeing south on St. Theresa Avenue, according to the NYPD.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a white hooded sweatshirt, and black Crocs.

Police have not made any arrests and are continuing to investigate.
