BALTIMORE, MD — Maryland State Police are investigating the death of a woman discovered inside a parked vehicle Sunday morning on the outer loop of I-695 in Baltimore County.
Around 9:45 a.m. on July 27, a state trooper from the Golden Ring Barrack stopped to check on a black Jeep Wrangler with Maryland registration that was parked on the right shoulder west of Perring Parkway. Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper found a woman lying unresponsive in the rear area of the Jeep.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the woman dead. Her identity has not yet been confirmed.
The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Maryland State Police were assisted by Baltimore County Police, along with crash investigators, criminal enforcement personnel, and forensic technicians.
