Jersey City lottery player walks away with nearly $220K

TRENTON, NJ – A Jersey Cash 5 ticket sold in Jersey City has made one lucky Hudson County player $219,820 richer after matching all five numbers in Sunday night’s drawing.

The winning numbers for the game’s 40th jackpot this year were 06, 08, 27, 28 and 44. The XTRA was 05 and Bullseye was 27. Belmont Liquors, located at 157 Monticello Avenue in Jersey City, sold the jackpot-winning ticket and will receive a $2,000 bonus for the sale.

Three additional players matched four out of five numbers, along with the Bullseye and XTRA, each winning $2,000. Twelve others matched four out of five numbers and the Bullseye, securing $500 each.

The Jersey Cash 5 jackpot now resets to $150,000 for the next drawing.
