STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A 36-year-old Front Royal man remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being thrown from his motorcycle during a high-speed crash Saturday night.

Deputies responded to Garrisonville Road near Furnace Road around 8:19 p.m. on July 26 and found the rider seriously injured. Witnesses said the motorcycle was traveling westbound when it struck a curb, ejecting the driver.

Bystanders and deputies performed life-saving measures until the man was airlifted to a hospital. Investigators with the Traffic Safety Unit determined that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
