Stamford player cashes in $150K Powerball payday

STAMFORD, CT – A Powerball ticket sold in Stamford has won $150,000 in the July 28 drawing, Connecticut Lottery officials announced.

The winning ticket was purchased at Rosas Mini Mart LLC, located in Stamford. The winner matched four numbers plus the Powerball and selected the Power Play option, increasing the prize to $150,000.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, with jackpots starting at $20 million and often climbing into the hundreds of millions. Players have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes.

Connecticut Lottery officials remind players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and keep them in a safe place until claiming.
