Trooper Youth Week kicks off for 118th class at NJ State Police Academy

SEA GIRT, N.J. — The New Jersey State Police Academy welcomed the 118th Trooper Youth Week Class on Monday, marking the start of a weeklong program designed to introduce young participants to the structured environment of trooper training.

Under the instruction of academy staff and with support from the Mounted Unit, the group began learning the basics of academy life, including how to line up, respond to roll call, and adapt to a disciplined daily routine.

The academy described the program as “a challenging week” and noted the participants are off to a strong start.

The structured course is aimed at providing youth with insight into law enforcement training and discipline.
