Glen Burnie traffic stop uncovers drugs and revolver

A 26-year-old Baltimore man was arrested Tuesday morning after police found drugs and a firearm during a traffic stop in Glen Burnie, authorities said.

The stop happened around 9 a.m. on Ritchie Highway near Ordnance Road, where an officer pulled over a blue 2005 Saturn and spotted suspected drugs inside the vehicle.

Investigators said the driver, identified as Michael Daqwan Pyles, was in possession of two prescription medications that were not prescribed to him, totaling 171 grams of cyclobenzaprine and 14.5 grams of escitalopram.

A .22 caliber North American Arms folding revolver was also recovered from the vehicle. Pyles was arrested and charged with weapons and drug offenses.
