Fights erupt along Seaside Heights boardwalk as police make arrests Saturday night

Several fights broke out Saturday night along the Seaside Heights boardwalk, prompting a police response and at least two arrests as tensions escalated at the popular seaside resort Saturday night.

Officers responded to reports of an active fight near Dupont Avenue and the boardwalk just after nightfall, as large crowds gathered in the area. Additional reports came in shortly after for another disturbance at Pirates Hideaway, a well-known amusement ride on the Casino Pier.

Police responded to the scene, where they encountered several individuals involved in separate altercations. At least two people were taken into custody at Pirates Hideaway, while officers worked to disperse crowds and restore order.

No injuries have been publicly reported as of Sunday, and authorities have not confirmed whether additional arrests were made during the incidents. The cause of the fights has not been disclosed, and the investigation remains active.
