WILKES-BARRE, PA — A Bronx man is facing charges after police say he unlawfully entered a Carlisle Street home through a first-floor window late Sunday night and assaulted a 27-year-old woman inside.

The victim told officers the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Candido Ventura, struck her several times with a closed fist before fleeing.

Ventura was later found on Carey Avenue, taken into custody without incident, and transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment.
