PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 34-year-old man was left fighting for his life after being gunned down inside a residence on Poplar Street late Friday, with investigators now searching for the shooter and a possible motive.
The shooting happened around 11:43 p.m. on the 5500 block of Poplar Street in the 19th District. Police found the victim inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The Philadelphia Police Shooting Investigation Group has taken over the case. Detectives have not identified a motive or made any arrests.
