Deputies catch gas station bandit red handed in New York

Rhinebeck, NY – A suspected burglar was caught red-handed inside a Rhinebeck gas station early Sunday morning after deputies on patrol responded to an activated security alarm and interrupted the crime in progress.

The incident unfolded at approximately 2:18 a.m. at the Shell Gas Station located at 3904 Route 9G, where Dutchess County Sheriff’s deputies arrived to find an active break-in underway. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene without resistance.
