BROOKLYN, NY – A 50-year-old man was violently attacked and robbed by a group of six individuals during a pre-dawn ambush in Borough Park on Friday, July 4, leaving him hospitalized and police searching for the suspects.
The incident unfolded at approximately 4:30 a.m. outside 827 59th Street, where the victim was surrounded by the group and beaten multiple times with an iron stick. The attackers then snatched the man’s wallet and approximately $800 in cash before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz SUV heading westbound on 59th Street toward Eighth Avenue.



Emergency medical services responded and transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was treated for pain and swelling and listed in stable condition.
All six suspects remain at large. The NYPD released descriptions of the individuals involved:
- Suspect 1: Male, light complexion, last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black slippers with white socks, and carrying a black backpack.
- Suspect 2: Male, light complexion, black hair, wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
- Suspect 3: Female, light complexion, wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers.
- Suspect 4: Male, light complexion, wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers.
- Suspect 5: Male, light complexion, heavy build, wears glasses, black shirt over a gray T-shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers.
- Suspect 6: Male, light complexion, wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
The investigation is ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
