BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 21-year-old man from Elmont was fatally shot Thursday night in Brooklyn, and another man was injured in the same incident, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 10:40 p.m. for an assault in front of 9323 Avenue L in the 69th Precinct. Upon arrival, they found two men with gunshot wounds—one with a gunshot wound to the head, and the other shot in the right leg.
The 21-year-old, identified as Mitch Innocent of 1795 Chelsea Street, Elmont, was transported by EMS to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The 25-year-old male was also taken to the same hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
