21-Year-Old Man Shot in Queens, Suspect Fled on Foot

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 21-year-old man was shot in the back Tuesday afternoon in St. Albans, police said.

The shooting occurred around 3:10 p.m. on September 17, 2024, in front of 118-17 197th Street. An unidentified individual fired multiple rounds at the victim, striking him in the back before fleeing the scene on foot toward Linden Boulevard.

The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center by private means and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
