SUITLAND, MD – Police in Suitland are investigating a murder that took place Monday evening that took the life of 21-year-old Deonte Kamari-James Day of Washington, DC.
According to police, at around5:25 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3800 block of Regency Parkway for a report of a shooting.
“Once on scene, they discovered Day outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later,” police said in a statement today.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect and a motive. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
