23-Year-Old Arrested and Charged with Attempted Murder in Chicago

Chicago, Illinois – A 23-year-old man, Gregshawn Martell Clinton, has been apprehended and charged with attempted murder following a shooting incident that left a 39-year-old man severely injured. The arrest took place on May 15, in the 4700 block of W. Washington Blvd., after an investigation by the Chicago Police Department.

The incident occurred on Friday, at approximately 5:39 p.m. in the 3300 block of W. Harrison St. (11th District). The victim, a 39-year-old male, sustained serious injuries as a result of the shooting. Detectives identified Gregshawn Martell Clinton as the perpetrator and took him into custody without further incident.

Clinton now faces a felony charge of attempted murder, along with additional charges related to other forcible felonies. He is scheduled to appear in Central Bond Court, located at 2600 S. California, on May 17, 2023.
